Flooding in Our Little River

Our little river was a rollin' this month due to the Colorado floods. I overheard an older lady say that she's never seen the river this high before and she's lived here a long time.  On our daily drive to and from school, we'd cross the bridge to see the river rising to it's flood point.  The kids kept asking when the flood was going to happen.  They didn't understand that this was a flood compared to the floods we see back in Kansas where they are over the roads and up to the barns. On our drive, we'd also see tons of people walking the bridge just to get pictures and to "check the river out".
