The Covered Bridge: embrace the camera #1

Today I am linking up with Emily from "the anderson crew".

Emily started Embrace the Camera series for her kids.  Taken straight from her blog, "Each week, I am intentional about turning the camera around on myself, to get in the shot.  It doesn't have to be on a day that I look good.  I don't need make-up on.  I can even be wearing my sweats that I love so much.  It doesn't need to be with a good camera.  It just needs to be me, with all of my kids, one of my kids, my husband, or someone else who may be near and dear to my heart."

So this year that is my one goal, to turn the camera around on myself
and get in one or some of the shots!!

I have a taken a few, and yes, most days I don't look that good,
and on all of the days so far I don't have make-up on
but one day my kids will cherish these photos with me in them instead of behind the camera.

Today I am including a family picture that we shot with the self-timer for the first time ever.

Joe and I recently found a site that lists several covered bridges in Ohio.
One bridge was closer than the others, so we took a little drive and went to view the bridge.
This bridge was built in 1999.
Some of the bridges were built in the 1800s.
We'd like to go visit more bridges this year.
Actually we have a little game going to see how many we can visit before the end of the year.
The kids actually loved it!!
Joci asked to go back for her birthday!! Ha!

 Yes, we cut Owen off.
We'll have to work on that next time.

  1. I once had a pretty traumatic experience on a covered bridge (too many cars!) but your pictures are so lovely!
